Day 65 – Perfume & Art

The first half of the day today was grey, gloomy, chilly and rainy. Although the sun did not greet me this morning, I woke up in a fabulous mood- nice and early and had my morning coffee with Vinny, my favorite time of day. Once everyone was off for the day, after breakfast I sat on the couch for a bit. Realizing I was starting to wrap myself up in the cozy, plush couch blanket and watch a movie, I had to shake it off and make myself get up and get ready for my day. I put some music on, and got all dressed up. I tried something new with my makeup and was totally excited with the outcome.

Then, just to put a little extra happy in my day and combat the gloominess outside, I sprayed an extra amount of perfume! I am always so cautious to not overdo it when it comes to perfume when I am out and about. But the fact of the matter is I absolutely love perfume! I have many different ones and my choice depends on my mood, the activity I’m doing or whatever. Today I actually put on an “old classic” that I always have in my stock: Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy. This is actually the perfume I was wearing when I met Vinny 12 years ago.

Anyhow, I decided that for my intention today I would bring out some blank canvases and see where my creativity would take me today. I haven’t been doing as much canvas art lately, I’ve mostly been focused on small furniture pieces and other smaller craft items for my booth. With the music going and the scent of perfume filling the air- I just started painting. I paused only when my son got home from school to have a snack with him. I ended up completing 3 pieces. I took 2 of them out to the deck and spray painted a very thin glittery/shimmery overlay and it was the perfect touch. When the sunlight hits them, they very subtly sparkle.

By late afternoon, although it was quite windy, the sun was out and the air was balmy. I enjoyed a quick walk with one of my friends. Today was a great intention. I thought of Heather today and paused to appreciate the beauty this blog brings me each and every day. #HGAL #creativityrules
