Day 57 – Laughter

There is true power in laughter. I believe smiling and laughter can positively affect the blues, illness, grieving, fears and more. There have been studies done showing how the power of a good attitude, smiling and laughter have even been proven to actually cure or strongly improve certain mental and physical disorders as well. Thank God I love to laugh- lol.

Last night I had a dream about Heather. The only part of the dream I clearly remember was her running down the street being silly and I was cracking up! Throughout the day today it made me think about how much she made me laugh. She was so funny! From the time we were kids (even well into our adult lives) she used to do this thing where she would very melodramatically pretend like she had tripped and fallen. She would go down so hard and fast, make the noises that usually accompany a fall, arms and legs sprawled everywhere. Anyone in the room would absolutely loose it cracking up!  But together…. together we were hysterical! No matter what was happening in life, she was my glass half full.
For today’s intention I was thinking about a card Heather sent me a very long time ago (she didn’t date it but it was when my oldest son was just a baby). It was a greeting card with a baby gorilla on the front. On the inside of the card she wrote, “I found one of your baby pictures so I put it on the front of this card”. I thought that was so funny when I got it! I still do!! Totally random and completely hysterical.

So with that in mind, I sent a super cute picture of a little monkey to my mom as a joke that said “The first time…you curled your own hair”. It has the silliest little funky hairdo but it made me laugh so I’m passing it on! I know she will get a huge kick outta that. #goodtimes #greatlaughs #HGAL
