Day 64 – Cakepop Cheers

Today was a sunny, beautiful, fairly breezy day. Although there was still a little nip in the air, this was the type of day that you absolutely want to be outside. After such a frigid, record breaking winter- these types of days you must embrace and fully appreciate.

This morning was a typical Monday- housework, cooking and talking on the phone a bit. This afternoon however, I went on a walk with my friend Lena. We walked just shy of 4 miles. I always enjoy our walks. We always have such great conversation. We enjoy looking at the unique architecture the island has to offer. The variety of homes in New England are truly amazing I must admit. Some even seem to tell a story. I enjoy all of the colors and rooftops, nooks and crannies that driving by just does not allow time to notice.
Anyhow, when we got back I had a quick snack then went to meet my friend Jen for another afternoon walk. I have no idea how far we went. All I know is we walked for a solid 2 hours. At one point we stopped at Starbucks to use the facilities and I got an idea for a great intention for my day. I got us both a cake pop (pink ones are my fave!). We went over to the dock area and did a “cheers” with our delicious treats before enjoying them.  Cheers to a beautiful day, cheers to health and life, cheers to friendship, cheers to the tasty treat, cheers to the upcoming summer, cheers to this day’s blog intention, cheers to Heather. We did not specify what the “cheers” was too but I like to think it was to any and all of these things.
