Day 52 - Pictures

As I’ve looked at all the pictures of the past, it has gotten me to think and marvel at the fact that in such a relatively short period of time, taking pictures is so different. I remember having to load my camera with the film, the wind up, waiting for the flash to be ready and taking the film in when it was all used up to actually get it developed at a store. So taking pictures was a pretty big deal because it was a bit of an inconvenience. Therefore, the pictures from back then are pretty treasured.

I surely love the ease and convenience available now of being able to simply grab my phone and snap a quick pic anytime I want. I never have to miss a moment. In just seconds, I can edit, crop, get rid of red eyes, adjust the picture to black/white or any other number of options. I’m kind of an “old soul” so although at times I have had a hard time embracing all modern technology has to offer, the phone/camera convenience I immediately, completely embraced.
That being said however, I do miss the event of actually going to photography studio session. Heather and I took so many pictures in actual studios! We used to have so much fun creating our own poses, using props and so on. So for today’s intention I have decided to take some fun pics. Vinny was home and already in his “snuggies” (pj’s) but he totally agreed to join me after dinner for my intention. I had seen on Pinterest an idea for Christmas pictures where a couple wrapped themselves up in the lights. I thought it was so adorable. I know Christmas is over but so what. I pulled out the lights that were carefully tucked away. I called my son to come be our camera guy. Then we wrapped all the lights around us and just started posing away. It was so fun!

I am including a couple pictures of our little impromptu photo shoot. I am also including a few professional pictures of Heather over the years. #HGAL
