Day 307 – Book Day

First of all let me express my sorrow and sadness over what the people in Paris are going through today. Let’s all show our support to the best of our ability and keep them in our prayers.

Today was a slow starting kind of morning. We sat with our coffee, watched CNN for a bit and discussed current affairs. As sad and alarming as they may be- I feel open dialogue with the family is crucial.
We watched a movie after that and at about noontime decided to get up and get going. Vinny asked what I wanted to do for my intention today and I said that I would love to just have a day at the bookstore Barnes and Noble the next town over. I used to go fairly regularly when we lived back in NC- buy a coffee at the Starbucks inside the store and wander around for hours looking at books and I miss that so much.
On our way to the bookstore- as we were passing the beach, although it was windy and fairly cold, I asked Vinny to just pull over for a while so we could enjoy the beach and sun. We didn’t stay for too long but it was so nice to hang out for a bit there. It’s just so very peaceful and calming.

When we arrived at the book store, we went directly to the Starbucks counter. Then we went to find the book I have been waiting for entitled “Polish Your Poise with Madame Chic” by Jennifer Scott that just recently released. You may remember how excited I was to receive the last book by her on Day 30 entitled “At Home with Madame Chic” that my mom sent me as a gift. I first fell in love with her first book “Lessons from Madame Chic” quite a while ago so I was very excited to purchase and dive into this book as well.
Once I had that, we wandered around for about an hour and a half looking at books of every genre. I was in my total glory and Vinny did good for a while but he did have to kind of pull me out of there when the second hour was approaching lol. I could honestly stay for hours and hours. Anyhow, I had an amazing time and this was a wonderful intention on a slow moving and much needed calm Saturday. #Cheers #HGAL #PLEASEPRAYFORPARIS
