Day 303 – Ping Pong

Today has been a rainy, dreary kind of day. By the time we were all home and having dinner, there was pretty much nothing more I wanted to do than just get in my jammies and snuggle in for an early evening. But its times just like this when I am so grateful for my intentional living and dedication to this blog. I told Vinny that I wanted to go to One Pelham East which is a bar a few blocks down that I have wanted to go to all summer but it was always just way too packed.

Now that the main tourist season is winding down, it’s easier to get into places like that. And being that this is a weekday and it’s raining, I knew we wouldn’t have a problem getting to use the many games offered there. It really is a super cool bar, with 3 levels that offer live music and games including shuffleboard, darts, pool, foosball and ping pong. In our old house in Arizona, we had a ping pong table and a pool table in our home and Vinny and I both LOVE to play both- so I wasn’t sure exactly what we were going to play, I just wanted to get there.
We made the walk down and I didn’t mind walking in the rain with my guy. There were handfuls of people out there braving the elements as well – at least it wasn’t too cold. When we got there, we ordered our drinks and ended up deciding on ping pong. We rallied around for a while and ended up playing two of the most exciting games I think I’ve ever played! We didn’t lose our skills- I can say that for sure lol. On the way out, Vinny challenged me to a game of darts and it was on.

He may have beat me in all the games we played tonight, but I left feeling like a winner regardless. Having a night out playing games with my awesome husband when we could have just as easily been on the couch was a win/win. Cheers to embracing every single opportunity to live your life to the very fullest….EVEN on a rainy day. #HGAL
