Day 67 – Favorite Things Party

For today’s intention, I attended a get together with a group of Lena’s friends. Last week, she invited me to a “Favorite Things Party” for tonight. This is the same theme as the social outing I went to on day 32. The difference with this one is each person brings 5 of the same item to exchange so that everybody gets one of each thing and this one had a $5 limit. I made 5 more of the clam jewelry holders that were such a big hit before and they were well received again tonight. It’s kind of bazaar that I have never been to one of these parties and I have been to 2 within about a month- lol.

When we arrived, the ladies were very nice and receptive. We all snacked and chatted about some of our favorite things- TV shows, movies, foods, apps, etc. It was an easy and engaging way to not only learn more about each other but also a great way to find out about some stuff we weren’t necessarily aware of (different good books out, neat apps and so on).

Anyhow, I do love that I am starting to be further immersed into the community here. This get together was off the island which is nice to be expanding socially further out. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, easy conversation and coming home with quite a few goodies again. I ended up briefly mentioning my blog when I suggested we take a picture and was able to talk about the fact that this blog is in memory of Heather and living life with intention. And with that her memory was shared and she was honored again today with a very nice group of ladies. #greatnight #HGAL
