Of course I had to put my little St. Patty’s touch to the
situation so in the true spirit of the day I made green Rice Krispy treats with
Lucky Charm marshmallows in them, I made an extra-large Shamrock out of cucumber
slices with ranch dip, green chocolate chip cookies, a cool whip green pistachio dip with Nilla wafers, green floats (like Root
Beer floats but made out of sherbet and Ginger Ale). I also put out green
grapes, kiwi and green apples- perfectly festive and lively. In the afternoon
we had an indoor cookout (lol) hot dogs/burgers and chips. Totally easy breezy
which freed up my time to visit with family and friends and watch the parade.
It actually was raining a bit today but that didn’t stop us,
the parade or the mass amount of people running about town! We all went to our
deck and watched as the parade went by as well as all the crazy (mostly drunken)
people running about. It really was a great day! My grandson Aiden even lost a
tooth today! I love being able to be a
part of such important milestones. #HGAL #lifescelebrationsIn memory of my lifelong best friend and cousin who was taken by cancer in 2011, I will be chronicling the next 365 days of my life to live with intention and do something each and every day with my life in her memory.

Day 62 – St. Patty’s Day Parade
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade was today. The intention for my
day was to host a gathering. The path of all parades in this town goes directly
by my house so we can just sit out on the deck and watch as they go by. So, we
had the family with all the kids and grandkids, some friends and some of my son’s
friends over to enjoy the festivities. (17 people- definitely a full house).
