Although I try to only think of all the numerous great
memories of Heather, clearly I have my sad days too. The reality is
overwhelming at times. Today for my intention, I simply allowed myself to give
in a bit to the sadness. I turned it up loud in the car and just sang along. When
I got home, I put it on repeat and listened to it for a while.
And then my thoughts shifted….just as the chorus says:
“It’s been a long
day – without you my friend
And I’ll tell you
all about it when I see you againWe’ve come a long way – from where we began
Oh I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again”
I will see her again! I choose to focus on that. I will be
able to tell her everything that’s happened - the blog, the kids, my adventures
and how much of an inspiration her courage is to me.
Although I am eager to see her again, I remain patient as I
am also excited to live a long, happy life as well – embracing every opportunity
life offers me and taking charge of every single day to live with intention. Once again I am reminded that our thoughts
make us what we are and shape each and every day. I am happy to have changed my
sad energy to one of appreciation, inspiration and joy to know that one day I
will see her again. #HGAL #missmycousinmyfriend
