So, Vinny, Elijah and I made our way down to Providence. We
walked around the city a bit, mingling amongst thousands of people. There were
gondolas slowing drifting through with couples inside (so Venice like), adding
a sense of romance to the night. There was a live band and the most beautiful
Italian opera music playing loudly overhead. The smell of burning wood was both
aromatic and inviting and we could literally feel the warmth from the flames.
I found myself snuggled into Vinny as we leaned against a
railing taking it all in. Vendors were selling bouquets of flowers and glow in
the dark trinkets. Illuminated blue stars perched above the street lights added
another elegant touch. While we were there, I thanked Elijah and Vinny for
being a part of another intention and we talked for a moment about how much
this blog has affected our lives in such a lovely way. Today was a beautiful
day spent out and about with my family and this evening’s intention was an
outstanding addition for sure. #HGAL In memory of my lifelong best friend and cousin who was taken by cancer in 2011, I will be chronicling the next 365 days of my life to live with intention and do something each and every day with my life in her memory.

Day 132 – WaterFire Providence
Today was the first lighting of the WaterFire in Providence
and I wanted to be a part of the celebration for my intention. We have never
gone to it but I have heard that it is a beautiful sight. All along the river
that runs through the beautiful city are many wood burning fires perched right
on the water lit precisely at sunset and runs through a good portion of the
night. They are lit throughout several summer weekends but I wanted to be there
for the first lighting.
