As we were taking pictures, I randomly got in a conversation with a lovely woman name Rose who was on a cruise and here only for the day. I told her about my blog and she shared with me that she was a Breast Cancer survivor herself. She showed me the pink in her hair (super cute!) and the pin she had in support of this Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She allowed me to take her picture and put her in the blog today. In fact, just as my mom went to take the picture, she said “Save the Ta-Ta’s”- it was unexpected and I just laughed and loved her spirit. She was just such a happy, friendly woman and I am so glad she was able to beat this awful disease.
So, we sat there and watched a nice parade here in the heart
of my little town. Afterwards, I went home to meet up with Vinny and we went to
the beach for an amazing afternoon together. It was like 70-something degrees outside and
I’m not sure how many of those days we have left in the season so I was
determined to enjoy every second of it. We saw so many people sunbathing,
walking and with their pets it was just truly picturesque.
When we got home, we walked over to the Vanderbilt Grace
Hotel to enjoy the last day of the open Rooftop Lounge and Bar. We sat for a
while enjoying the scene, sun and each other before coming home to cook dinner
together and relax tonight.
I hope all of you, my readers enjoyed their long weekend and
have a blessed upcoming week. #Cheers #HGAL #ILOVEPARADES
